University
of Gabon Clinical Trial
Clinical
Trials Against Hepatitis C
University of Gabon Medical Center Libreville,
Republic of Gabon, and Cambodia AIDS and Protection Organization, Toulkok
District Phnom Penh City, Cambodia. (Using Dr. LaPenta's Peptide Nucleic
Acid Composition Improved And Patented by Dr. Kochel in 1998 - Immax A.)
Immunotherapy Against Hepatitis "C"
The data on the Gabon was very significant. You
will note, however, there were no PCR's, because none were available at
that location. The segregation of the patients into Hepatitis C group
by HbsAg tests was more reliable than a simple clinical diagnosis (as
was done in Cambodia).
You will note in all cases the UREA, Glycemia,
ASAT, ALT, Bilirubin, and GGT returned to normal from very high levels
with a 60 day period of time. As a result of all patients’ clinical signs
returning to normal and Immax A, again showing no toxicity, these results
are very promising.
This therapy may be a very valuable as an adjunct
or replacement therapy to traditional therapy (Alpha Interferon + Ribavirin)
or be used for those patients which cannot tolerate traditional therapy
side effects or risk adverse reactions.
